Peers, Gerald; at his residence at Pear Tree Cottage Farm, Mount Forest on Monday August 26, 2013. Gerald Stuart Peers formerly of Oakville in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Dr. Ann (Chapman) Peers (2010). Loved father of Dave Peers of RR #4, Mount Forest and Angie Olive & husband Jim of Chicago, Illinois. Devoted grandfather of Luke and Jake. Uncle of Susan Vanderheyden and Karen Vanderheyden. Predeceased by infant son Sandy Peers, parents Harry & Hilda Peers and sister Pat Vanderheyden & her husband Carl. Gerry will be sadly missed by Ida Archer of Guelph who is loved and considered as one of the family. A special thanks from Gerry 's family to Wendy, Shirley, Bonnie and Deborah for their compassionate care, love and dedication. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Gerry 's life will be held at Pear Tree Cottage Farm 6500 Highway 89, RR #4, Mount Forest on Saturday August 31st from 1:00 to 4:00p.m. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home.
