— Janet Blair and Mike Wilkes, Peterborough, June 14, 2008Dear Doug, Ed, Scott, and Amy. I was very saddened to hear of the passing of your Wife and Mother. I was instantly taken back in time to the days when Louise was the proudest of hockey Moms (and Wives) everywhere. She was as important a contributor to the success of those teams as any player on the ice. Then seeing her front and centre through all the subsequent celebrations, (and even reunions) she was truly a wonderful woman. My hope is that those memories along with knowing how much genuine fondness we all had for her will help sustain you in the days to come. I think of you all and Louise on occasion, now it will just be more often.
— Jack Kennedy, January 1, 2010Louise was one of the spark plugs on 'The Green Machine' bus. It would not have been the same without her. Sorry to see her go.
