Edythe Lorraine “Lorrie” Schouten, passed away at The Meadows, Ancaster on Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Gerard “Gerry” Schouten. Loving mother of Sonia Schouten-Pace and her husband Con Pace of Toronto, Joe Schouten and his wife Dianne of Mount Forest, Jane Schouten and her husband Paul Chisholm of Hamilton, Tony Schouten of Mount Forest and Douglas Schouten and his wife Tracy Roberts of Kitchener. Loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren. Dear sister of Antoinette “Tonie” Downs of Milton. Sister-in-law of Ben and Josephine Schouten, Joke Schouten, Dini Schouten and Fred Lippens. Predeceased by her son Gerry Schouten Jr., her parents George and Gladys Emery and her sisters Yvonne “Mitzi” Miller and Sonia “Sunnie” Miller. Friends may call at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Tuesday, September 26th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m., where a Prayer Vigil service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church, 230 Queen Street East, Mount Forest on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation or Canadian SPCA would be appreciated by the family. www.englandfuneralhome.com
