Condolences

Our sincere sympathy to all of you, especially Ken and Linda, our neighbours. We just realized today that Gladys was your mother Ken. We only have one mother and no matter the age, feel a sadness when they are no longer with us. May it be of some comfort to know she is at peace and others care about how you and yours are feeling. Sincerely, Bob and Mary McIntee

I apologize if you receive this in duplicate. I left a message here yesterday and it seems it didn't register. Our thoughts and prayers have been with you since hearing of Aunt Gladys illness and passing. I apologize for being unable to attend friday's service due to health issues. Aunt Gladys will always be remembered with love, respect and thankfulness for being blessed to have such an an amazing lady for an aunt. We have been privileged to have her in our lives. She was a woman of courage, determination and great love for so many, especially her family. She has been a daughter, nurse, sister, sister in law, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. We looked up to her as an example of how to live your life and how to build and nourish relationships. A tower of strength for others. May God watch over you all in your grief, may you be comforted by His presence, sense your mother near you and feel their love and comfort. With love and prayers, The Rusk and Mechan families: Rick, Mary-Lee, Ted, Bill and families, and the Mechans: Laurie, Terry, Janice, Andrea, Donald, Steven and Robbie and families.

I have just learned of the passing of Gladys. I deeply regret I am unable to attend her visitation or funeral as I have a medical appointment this afternoon in Waterloo. When Al and I were married she was, along with other Reoch Clan members, most welcoming and made me feel I was part of the family. We valued the friendship of Gladys and Bob when we were Listowel neighbours. Believe Gladys nursed Al, when he had a tonsillectomy, as a young boy. Our family will always remember the helpfulness and support of Gladys and Bob when our beloved Al passed. Such genuine kindness is never forgotten. To all members of the Dewar, Wenger and extended Reoch families we extend our heartfelt sympathy. You are in our thoughts. With love and kind regards, Lois Reoch & family

Lorna, Janet, and Jim, The first time I met Gladys you were living in your second house on Wallace Ave. I came up the stairs into your kitchen and was introduced to a woman with a warm smile and sparkling eyes. She was very excited to be marrying your father. At a time in life when most women are winding down she was about to take on the challenge of raising her second family. Being in your home so often I was also around to see Gladys joyfully engaging with her new grand babies Jamie and Jennifer. It wasn\\'t unusual for me to be coming in your driveway and meet your Mom going off to play a round of golf. I was told recently that a couple of weeks ago she was still visiting with friends and playing bridge. What a full and active life! I\\'m certain she\\'ll be missed by all of her family and friends. Love and sympathy from Nancy and Heinz

Over the years Aunt Gladys has touched many lives . Her wit and sense of humour, many in her family can relate to . She always seemed to be the rock many of her family relied on. This was quite evident when her sister Anne took sick while in Florida and she was the person our family looked to for guidance. We know she did that for many others as well. A true inspiration to all of us . To Ken , Marsha , Lorna , Janet and Jim and all of your family she made this world a better place . May the good times you have shared give you strength and comfort now and in the days ahead.
