Rose Penney

Rose passed away peacefully with her family by her side Friday, February 9^th, 2018 at the Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus in her 81^st year. Beloved wife of George Penney of Mount Forest. Dear mother to Madonna Broderick, Robert Penney, Joanne Penney, Joseph Penney, Jacqueline Penney (Scott). Rose was a proud grandmother of eight,  and cherished great-grandmother of six. Predeceased by her great-grandson Jason, and daughter-in-law Barbara Jean.  Dear sister to Genevieve Jordan, William Coles (Mary), Pat Coles, Thomas Coles (Betty).  Rose will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her sisters Mary Caffey, Agnes Plowman, Angela Broderick, Clara Coles, Christine Smith, and her brothers William Jr. and Pius Coles. Friends may call at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest, on Monday, February 12^th from 6-9 p.m. A funeral mass  will be held at St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church, 230 Queen Street East, Mount Forest on Tuesday at 11 a.m., with visitation prior to the service from  10-10:45 a.m.  Cremation to follow, with inurnment to take place at a later date at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Mount Forest. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Community Living Dufferin, would be appreciated by the family.
