Mary Reta Baker (nee McKechnie), passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, on Monday, February 12th, 2018 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Henry Baker. Loving mother to David and his wife Debbie, and Shirley and her husband Randy Traynor. Proud grandmother to Kimberley (John), Jennifer (Jeff), Rick (Kyla), Lorraine (Greg), and Ryan (Lindsey). Cherished great-grandmother of Ben, Luke, Zaida, Isabel, Eric, Mabel, Emi, Simon, Myles and Jake. Mary will be remembered as a dear sister to Arleen Kovac. Predeceased by her parents David and Dorothy McKechnie, and by her daughter Gail Baker. Mary was a long-time and devoted member of the Mount Forest United Church, and a proud member of the Lioness Club of Guelph. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest on Saturday, February 17th at 12 p.m. with visitation prior to the service from 10 - 11:45 a.m. Interment of cremated remains will then take place at 2:45 p.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau, Ontario. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
