Harvey Shaver

Harvey Jay Shaver, of Mount Forest and formerly of Alberta, passed away at the Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Saturday, June 23^rd, 2018 at the age of 99.  Beloved husband of June Richardson (nee Chipchase) and the late Doris Shaver (nee Cronquist).  Loving father of Margo Diederichs, Loreen and her husband Don Serink, Bill Shaver and his wife Brenda, Janice and her husband Gary Moore, and Wendy and her husband Lorne Steinhauer, all of Alberta.  Cherished grandfather of Nick, Matthew, Donny, Bobbi, Cristie, Marcella, Darby, Adam, Kayla, Jordan and Tyler, and great-grandfather of Anika, William, Thomas, Makenzie, Andie, Freya, Delphine, Lilia, Everly and Grant.  Dear brother of Archie Shaver and brother-in-law of Eileen Shaver and Stella Shaver, all of Saskatchewan.  Dear step-father of Helen and her husband Ron St. Amant, and Jim Richardson and his wife Diana, step-grandfather of Matthew, Geoff, Samantha, Julie and Katie and step-great-grandfather of Emerson, Dillon and Harrison.  Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families.  Predeceased by his brothers Kenneth Shaver, Bob Shaver and Norman Shaver, and by his son-in-law Bill Diederichs.  Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service celebrating Harvey’s life will be held at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Wednesday, June 27^th at 12 p.m., with visitation being held prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:45 a.m.  A service will also be held in Alberta at a later date.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Cancer Patient Services or SickKids Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
