Condolences
Dear Family Joy was also a volunteer driver for Bruce Grey Child and Family Services and we very much appreciate the kind person she was to all of the children she drove from place to place for us. Our most sincere condolences from the staff and her friends at BGCFS Alma DeVries Volunteer Services Worker
— Alma DeVries, June 26, 2019It's been a JOY and an honor to be your best friend for 15 years. I'm not sure what I will do without you. We have shared so much over the years, our hopes, dreams, secrets and how we would always be there when one of us needed to 'vent'. But laughter always, especially when Al was around. I will miss your sound reason, guidance, patience, and love. The way you would light up when talking about Amber and Shawn, all the grandchildren, but Mostly Makayla and her every new achievement from the very day she was born, oh how you loved babysitting! Over the years we must have spent hours showing each other our granddaughters pictures. After losing my Mother 2 months ago you were there to hold me while I sobbed, who do I go to now? I miss you truly beyond words, Goodbye Joy my love.
— lesley young, June 24, 2019I will miss you (to the moon and back). You taught me to always strive to be better, no matter the hand you are dealt. My heart goes with you. There are so many things we wish we had said in life that now must remain unspoken. In your final text to me you said that you were proud of me for finishing my university diploma. We were just going to text you that our youngest just graduated Highschool when we heard the news. You would be proud of your grandkids too. What I wish I had said... is that we are proud of you too.
