ECCLES, Alexander “Ike” – Peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at St. Peter's Hospital - Hamilton Health Sciences in his 82nd year. He will be missed by his brother Ken, his extended Ponderosa family, and many, many dear friends, especially his beloved dog Jackson. He is predeceased by his parents Alexander & Edith Eccles.
Ike was a longtime resident of Holstein and Mount Forest. He owned and operated a farm in the Holstein area for many years, and was also an overhead crane operator. A proud 56 year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 793.
A special thank you to Sharon Theuma, Senior Care Coordinator for her compassion and guidance and the staff at Abington Court Retirement Home for their dedicated care, while Ike was a resident.
A graveside service will be held at Holstein Cemetery on Saturday, May 10th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pet Pantry at the Flamborough Food Bank, or to your local food bank.

I can’t quite remember how we first met, only that Ike was always there. Some memories may be a little blurry, but his humour and impact remain crystal clear. Here’s to you, Ike. Rest in peace.
