Condolences

I am so sorry to hear about Dorothy. She was my teacher and very dedicated to her profession. She will long be remembered with pride for all those she taught and knew.

Dorthy was a true example of how one should live their life. Her positive encouragement helped me pass high school math (she was my tutor) and through the years she remained a dear friend. I had the pleasure of travelling with Dorthy and Elwyn to Hawaii, they were great chaperones and a lot of fun. Her friendship is something I will always be grateful for. Dorthy's wedding gift of a paper toll art she crafted with great care, still adorns our living room wall. She was a true lady and a good friend who will be missed by us all. My condolences to the family for your loss of such a special person and a bright light in life.

I was deeply saddened to learn of your mom’s passing. As a young teacher starting at Norwell, she became one of my mentors as I navigated my way through the first few years of teaching. She was always cheerful, positive, and kind to students and colleagues alike, traits which earned her a great deal of respect. In more recent years I enjoyed our catch-up visits at the retired teachers gatherings at Logan’s. I wish I could attend the memorial service, but I’m presently out of the country. Please accept my deepest sympathy and know that my thoughts are with you. Sincerely, Linda Rowe

My sincere condolences to Dorothy’s family. Dorothy was a wonderful friend and neighbour to my own dear grandmother, Merle and I heard many wonderful stories over the years. Though your hearts be heavy, may her memory and all of the wonderful times you spent together, carry you through your grief and loss.

I was so sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. Dorothy was one in a million. Her sense of humour was infectious. When I was running the Junior Gardeners' Program for the Horticultural Society, Dorothy and I would drive all over the countryside judging their gardens and having a great adventure in the process. One year when we had our neighbourhood Christmas dinner, Dorothy attended and did a comedic routine that had us all in stitches. The world is a little less bright with the passing of this beautiful soul. My condolences go out to Dorothy's family. Judy Lardie

Randy and I are sending our sincere condolences. Dorothy was the best of neighbours and a dear friend. Watching Dorothy gardening and doing yardwork into her 90's was such an inspiration to us. I hope to remain as active and cheerful as Dorothy was whenever I saw her. I will always remember her energetic and comical presentation at the Mount Forest Horticultural Society meetings. She wore "many hats" at her presentation. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed her family visits so much and we always heard of her adventures. She was one in a million and we will remember her always. Rest in peace dear friend. -Kathy Cameron
