BOWIER, Franz “Frank”
1933-2025
With sadness and also gratitude for a peaceful passing, we announce Frank quietly left this world with his family at his side on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
Lovingly remembered by his son Steve (Debbie), and grandsons Dan (Julie) and Alex (Lisa).
Predeceased by his beloved wife Theresa (2013), cherished daughter Ruth (1985) and older brother Andreas (2020).
Frank is survived by his sisters-in-law Colleen Thompson and Sharon Jones, brother-in-law Bill Rhodes, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Frank was a man of few words and a true gentleman with a good sense of humour. He enjoyed simple pleasures like taking a Sunday car ride for ice cream and sharing stories around the kitchen table with his family. But Frank was happiest when he was able to work on his farm with Theresa by his side and a dog to keep him company on the tractor.
Steve and Debbie would like to express their deepest appreciation to the team of caregivers at The Village of Winston Park in Kitchener, who treated Frank with genuine affection and kindness in his declining health with dementia.
Visitation will be held at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest, on Sunday, February 9th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 9141 Highway 6, Kenilworth, on Monday, February 10th at 10:00 a.m. Following, all are invited to the church hall for refreshments and fellowship. Spring interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Kenilworth. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Frank are asked to consider the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation or Sacred Heart Church.
Godspeed Dad, give Mom and Ruth a kiss for us.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Frank. I have many memories as a kid going to visit Frank and Theresa. My most recent memory was many years ago on a stormy night my whole family coming over to help put baby chickens away. Frank always had a smile on his face and was such a kind and caring man. He will be missed by many.
My condolences to Debbie and her family on your loss.
— Hugh Perrin, February 7, 2025Our sympathy goes out to you in your loss.

My condolences to Steve, Debbie and the whole family. I hope fond memories bring you through this tough time.
Dear Steve and Debbie, so sad to hear of your Dad’s passing. Sitting here remembering all the times we spent together with your Dad and Mom. They were our go to family. Such a special part of our lives. Most often fun times but sometimes a good talking to as well.
Although it’s always a sad time I know your Dad is so happy to be reunited with his beloved girls and maybe having a great old chat with our Dad as well. RIP Frank.
Our sincere condolences on the passing of Frank.
