Condolences
Larry and I met while working with the A & P Stores . He was a dear friend for around 65 years, so we had a lot of laughs over a long period of time. I have many fine memories of our golf trips in Myrtle Beach, along with the other MBA’s! I remember him singing to Maggie at their wedding. I believe it was The Alphabet song, —- ‘A’ you’re Adorable, ‘B’ you’re so Beautiful———-
He did love her. Larry, Maggie, Mary and I had some good times together. Thanks for the memories, Larry,
Gord McCullough
Sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. Don and I shared many laughs with Larry and Maggie playing cards and enjoying supper together almost every Friday night. Don golfed at Pike Lake with Larry and John Preston and always had a fun time together. The good old days🫠🫠
— Beth Shervington, January 17, 2025I met Larry when I came to Elgin Lodge in June and was assigned to eat at the same table as him. I found Larry to be friendly non-judgmental and always willing to help others I have some mobility issues that require the use of a walker and at the end of the dinner time Larry was always willing to go retrieve my walker and bring it over to the table as well as push my chair into the table when it was time to eat. Even though he had his own challenges he was always thinking about others as well. I'm sad to learn that Larry has died but I hope your happy memories of times past will bring your comfort during this challenging time.
— Brian French, January 13, 2025Dick, Doug as well as myself shared the same table with Larry for lunch and dinner here at Elgin Lodge. We are saddened to learn of Larry's death. He will be missed,
0ur thoughts are with you at this challenging time.
We are sorry for the loss of our dear friend, Larry. He was always such fun when we got together for dinner, cards, pool, or birthday parties. We have missed that for the last couple of years, know that he was not well this year, but now has gone to join his beloved Maggie. To all his family, you have lost a wonderful father, and the rest of us have lost a great friend.
Eileen and Allan Tremills
I am so sorry for your loss. Sending you my deepest condolences. I worked out at Pike Lake Golf Centre Ltd, in the restaurant for quite a few years and had the utmost pleasure of looking Larry & Maggie and friends. They both always had a smile on their faces and a quick hello if they were delayed for their tee time. I was invited to watch the fireworks from their place a couple of years which were great with so many smiling faces. Always remember the good times and hold them close to your heart.
