Memorial Service for Leona Read

Sorry to read about your Mom remember her from Shannon Road gang
— Janet Robertson Duggan, January 4, 2025I was sorry to learn of Leona's passing. I have many fond memories of the Reads, the Lutzs and my parents, the Switzers spending time together. Leona was such a talented upholsterer. She custom made car seat covers for my car to protect them from my new German Shepherd puppy that I brought home from England. She was a genius. It had a host of snaps to put it in place but could be removed and washed after muddy park visits and swimming in the lake. She will be missed but now is with Ernie and friends that have passed already. Take care, Colleen, Steven, Heather and your families.
— Karen Switzer, January 3, 2025My sympathies... you had wonderful parents. When my mother (Dorothy Reid) and I were travelling to Fort Myers, Florida, we frequently stopped in at their home in Bushnell. Always welcome and a most enjoyable visit.
— Ross Reid, December 30, 2024William and Peggy Mah, former neighbours in Park Royal, (Clarkson) now Mississauga. We enjoyed being fellow church membera and snow-bird friends in Florida. We regret the loss of your mother. Thanks for informing us of your news.
William (Bill) and Peffy Mah, Bond Street Condo, Orillia, Ont.
My sympathy to Steve, Colleen and Heather and families. Your mom lived a good life but with declining is in a better place. I know she missed Ernie dreadfully when he passed away so suddenly. Now they are together. She was my bridesmaid seventy years ago. Now our family is down to four! Thinking of you all at this time. Aunt Jo
