BALLANTYNE, Ronald B. – Peacefully at the Louise Marshall Hospital on Friday, November 8, 2024 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Muriel Margaret (née Cuneo) Ballantyne. Loving father of Keith Ballantyne and his wife Leslie, and Susan Zonneveld and her late husband Martin. Cherished grandfather of Donald Ballantyne and his wife Nikki, Marty Zonneveld and his partner Emily, Mathew Zonneveld and his wife Leanne, Catherine Felske and her husband Peter, Nicole West and her husband Chris, and Cody Ballantyne. Great-grandfather of Jackson Ballantyne, Olivia Felske, Nolan Ballantyne, Maverick Zonneveld, Ava Zonneveld, Lily Felske, and Wyatt West. Ron is fondly remembered by his daughter-in-law Mary Choo-Campbell and her husband John Campbell, his extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his three brothers and three sisters.
Ron was very active in sports. He coached hockey and lacrosse for many years, and was the President of the Alderwood Hockey Association.
A funeral service will be conducted at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 12:00 p.m., with visitation from 11:00 -11:45 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ron as asked to consider Sick Children’s Hospital, Toronto or Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation.
