YAKE, Harold – Peacefully, surrounded by family at Strathcona Long Term Care on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Marie Yake (1973). Loving father of Heather Burke (Ken), Cathy MacDonald (John), Lori MacMillan (Late Alex), and Ira Yake (Krista). Harold will be missed by his grandchildren: Jamie (Nancy), Kelly (Jeremy), Lindsey, Dylan, Steven (Brittany), Jenny (Ian), Chris, and Megan (Jake); great-grandchildren: Justin, Tyson, Shawn, Kiera, Carter, Kenna, and Layla. Harold is survived by his sister Susan Rice (late Kevin), and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his granddaughter Lisa Marie, parents Ira and Susan Yake, and siblings: Albert Yake (Mary), Hugh Yake (Edna), Fred Yake (Betty), Iris Howels (Glen), and Isabelle Yake.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest, where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Southgate Township. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Harold are asked to consider Cancer Patient Services or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
