September 13, 2024
MORRIS, Robert “Bruce” - Passed peacefully away while surrounded by family at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest, Ontario on Friday, September 13, 2024 in his 84th year. Loving father of Cheryl (Allen), Jackie (Todd), and dear grandfather “Pop” of Spencer (Kristen) and Jill. Predeceased by his parents Hedley John & Annie Morris, his loving wife Marion, and his step-mother Blanche Mercer.
Bruce, a former teacher and business owner, was a wealth of knowledge and wisdom. An avid reader and lifelong learner, he enjoyed a good challenge.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Strathcona Long Term Care, who became like family, for their kind, compassionate and professional care over the past 10 years. The family would also like to thank the staff at Louise Marshall Hospital, especially Dr. O’Neill and nurses: Taylor, Caroline, Aly and team, for their excellent care in the last few days.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bruce are asked to consider the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation, or a charity of one’s choice.

Ohh the memories we have. Our first dirt bike rides; zoomin’ around on the little arctic cat and showed us the best places to trout and ice fish.
He could find his way in the country blindfolded, day or night. He let us have our adventures without letting us get into too much trouble. 😉
Rest in peace Ole’ Trout.
