WIDEMAN, Lester B. – Passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2024 at his home in Mount Forest. Lester Wideman in his 69^th year. Beloved husband of Alice (Frey) Wideman. Loving father of Marlene and Lester Weber, Lorna and Marvin Gingrich of Mount Forest, Fern and Elam Bauman of Holstein, Rosanne and Leroy Weber of St. Jacobs, Maynard and Elaine Wideman of Mount Forest, Erla and Neil Bauman of Kenilworth, Vera and Elverne Martin of Mount Forest, Loretta and Mark Martin of Conn, Gerald Wideman of Mount Forest, Catherine and Marlin Gingrich of Mount Forest, and Carolyn and Keiven Gingrich of Kenilworth. Survived by 46 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Son of Mrs. Minerva Wideman of St. Jacobs. Brother of Abner and Adeline Wideman, Leonard and Esther Wideman of Mount Forest, Cleason and Rebecca Wideman of St. Jacobs, Anna and Howard Frey of Mount Forest, and Irene Wideman of St. Jacobs. Brother-in-law of Eldon and Lena Frey, Howard and Anna Frey of Mount Forest, James and Emma Frey of Waterloo, Cleon and Ruth Weber of Mount Forest, and Laverne and Elsie Bauman of Belleville. Predeceased by his father Elam Wideman, parents in-law Sidney and Elsie Frey, and sisters-in-law Florence Wideman, Verna Weber and Laurene Frey. 

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 6 from 1:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday, August 7 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the home of Gerald Wideman, 044166 Southgate Road 4, Mount Forest. A private family service will be held at the home on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 9:00 a.m., then to Meadowside Meeting House, 9621 Wellington Road 14, Conn, for burial and public service. England Funeral Home, Mount Forest, entrusted with arrangements.
