Wishing you comfort and remembering the kind spirit that was your mom. My condolences for your loss.
Stella was such a wonderful person who was always kind and gave a smile to me at church. I first met Terry and Stella when I was fighting to keep Sacred Heart School open and I went down to the Board Offices every month to try and save the school and both Terry and Stella would always come along to support the school. They were a wonderful kind pair! Stella…a Star will be missed. My sincere condolences go out to the Mc Cabe family especially Dorothy who I had the pleasure to work with at the City of Kitchener. She will be greatly missed . My prayers and thoughts are with you. Juliane von Westerholt

— Dave and Donna Van Dyke, April 8, 2024To the entire McCabe Family. I have struggled with the words, but when I think of Stella one word comes to mind LOVE. “At the hour of death when we come face-to-face with God, we are going to be judged on love; not how much we have done, but how much love we put into the doing.” ― Mother Teresa.

— John & Marion French, April 7, 2024Stella was such a kind and caring person.
My first memory of her was when I was in Grade 1 and she was supply-teaching at Sacred Heart school in Kenilworth. The 'new' school (now the OPP training facility) was almost complete, but some stray pieces of boards were in a pile in the school yard. I stepped on a nail and was making a big fuss about it, when Stella came to my rescue. She picked me up (despite her wearing a lovely pleated white skirt for the first time) and carried me indoors.
It's great to see the warm memories others have of her. But to me, she'll always be a hero.
