Shawn Wright

WRIGHT, Shawn William

February 16, 1980 – September 2, 2023

Passed away at his home in Shelburne. Beloved son of Marie Gauvin and step-son of Frederic Gauvin of Mount Forest. Predeceased by his loving father Deane Wright of Durham (May 13, 2023). Proud father of Brennan, Breanna, Kaydin and Trystin. Shawn will be missed by his children’s mother Joanne; his siblings Tamara Uller, Rick Dane (Neetu), Robert Graham (Pam), Colin Wright, and Cheryl Wright; and step-sister Melissa Gray (Dave). Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Shawn loved music and was a very talented musician and singer who wrote original songs. He loved performing live and did so from a young age. He first learned to play the harmonica at the age of eight, guitar at nine, later he also played the keyboard. Shawn also loved the great outdoors, fishing, puttering around in his shop. He enjoyed long conversations with his mother, father, family and friends. Shawn had his own roofing and contracting business. He loved being with his children and showing them many things. As a child he was mischievous, always smiling and joking. He was, and is, the joy of his mother and late father. Shawn had a deep faith and love and respect for God.
