McDOWELL, Peter Alexander – A resident of Birmingham Retirement Community, Mount Forest, passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Thursday, December 28, 2023 in his 79th year. Peter is survived by a daughter and son and several grandchildren.
No visitation or service will be held. Interment of cremated remains will take place in Chatham where Peter was born, raised and educated. Those wishing to make a donation in his memory are asked to consider the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
Condolences
I had the greatest pleasure of meeting you at Birmingham Lodge. During this time, Peter was the serious yet funny, who always entered the room or outdoors. A man with a kind sole, a man that gave the tightest hugs that would show your forever friendship in trust. The paintings he showed that would make you daze in a heart felt way, to understand. The stories he would tell that would make you interested for days. The memories he shared about his life, will always live on in our hearts. We give our condolence to Peter’s family. I would like to say, where ever you are Peter, your talent has flown with you. God has gained another artistic angel, you will forever be in our hearts. Never forgotten, Amen.
