Rest in PEACE Mike.
— Beth Morris, April 15, 2023Hey Kelly. Hank and I are sorry that Mike passed away at such an early age. One thing I remember, there are more than one, but this one is funny to me. After Joanie was born, we were all at your place and Mike made a wonderful effort at changing the diaper. But, it was so funny I had to laugh, he laughed and then I helped him with this mountain of a problem. He was dealing with it but was so happy to see me make an effort and together we did it. That was a funny time. I pray that his family left behind will find a peace in the good and funny memories of him. God bless you and your little family Kelly. Be strong, God is always watching.
You will be missed Mike. I am going to miss our texts and calls about the Steelers. Gary and I will be cheering for the Steelers on your behalf. I was just talking to Gary this past week about how many times I made you watch the movie The Black Stallion with me and that I could recite almost every word, I think you could too. You trained my fox terrier Winston to hang his head out the window on car rides and I am sure you missed him jumping on you to wake you up.
You have left us way to earlier but will not be forgotten.
I’m going to miss our talks together, Mike. Man did you make me laugh! I can hear you right now…
We had a professional working relationship, but I think it grew into a great friendship. It says here you “lived a simple life and lived it to the fullest”, and I would say that sums up the person I knew. I’m sorry you had to leave so quickly but I’m glad we got to talk before then
We enjoyed many coffees together but I’ll make sure it’s an ice cold beer next time. Until we meet again…
