Condolences
My condolences to the family on the passing of Joan. May her quick wit and ability to make you laugh continue in all who met and spent time with Joan. I know volunteering with her at The Thrift Shop I appreciated her humour and dare I say sarcasm - caught me off guard on several occasions and then I'd turn and see the twinkle in her eye as she smiled at me.
— Tali McGovern, February 4, 2023Condolences to the Corley and Elliot families. Joan will always be remembered as good friend and neighbor and to help out whenever needed. Fondly remembered, Carolyn, Royden and Drew.

She was a Thursday volunteer at the Thrift Store that brought lots of laughter every week. Her love of jewellery and owls was well known. I will miss her.
Sincere sympathy to the Corley and Elliott families
Passing along our deepest sympathy in the passing of Joan. Our families crossed paths when they lived on Hwy 6. Dave would be a regular at our dinner table and Joan would call to see where he was. My husband, Ron, would cut across their fields on a sled during the winter to visit his favorite girl across the hwy. There will be great memories of Joan for all as the days go by. Share those with your family during the grieving process; it brings comfort. May God be your strength and peace.

I feel like I've known Joan for as long as I can remember. We could always strike up a conversation when we met, whether somewhere down town or here at Strathcona Village Homes. It wasn't too long ago, when we happened to be checking for our mail that we again shared a few words of welcome and discussed our hopes for more sunny days.
