Betty Ann Beaty
October 4, 2022
BEATY, Betty Ann – Peacefully at the Georgian Bay Seniors Lodge, Penetanguishene on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 in her 88th year. Betty Ann is survived by her nieces Kathy Proudley (Herb) of Penetanguishene, Leslie Beaty of Etobicoke, and nephew Alan Beaty (Jane) of Toronto. She is predeceased by her parents, Leslie and Florence (née Daw) Beaty, and by her siblings Wray, Verne (Lois) and Peggy.
Betty Ann was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing. She was with the V.O.N. in Hamilton for three years, and then flew with Air Canada (then called T.C.A.) for 30 years. Flying was her passion. Betty Ann’s one rock solid belief was “Anyone can achieve their fullest potential, the path we follow is always of our choosing. We should never allow our fears or the expectations of others to decide our future, find your passion and go for it!”.
At Betty Ann’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Betty Ann are asked to consider Operation Smile, Save the Children, or a charity of their choice.
England Funeral Home, Mount Forest, entrusted with arrangements.

Dear Kathy and Herb; Tonight, Sun. Oct. 9th. I re-read our first Condolence and realized I made several typos. Sorry about that. I will try to print the Obituary and take it down to Marie. When talking to her tonight, she mentioned you had phoned her re Betty Ann's death. However, she didn't seem to know about the donation re "Smile for Children" a charity in memory of Betty Ann. She also said it will be in the Wellington Advertiser, a free newspaper that is in our mail boxes on Thurs. A great idea to have it in that newspaper as it is well read. Again, Our Sincere Sympathy and Thank you for caring for dear Betty Ann. She is free of pain and stress of this life, resting in a better place. I remind you that if you are ever in Mount Forest for any reason, please come for a wee visit. Our phone is 519 323 2316 H) Cell 519 323 6614, a good idea to phone us if possible so we can be home. Love & Pease, Bob and Mary.
p.s. Marie is contacting Joan as soon as the Hydro is back in P.E.I. and we have told Ed.
Sending our sympathy to BettyAnn's family and friends
We had many a visit with her when she lived on Baseline Rd, While my Dad ( the plumber) did his job my Mom and I had a good chat with BettyAnn. She had many a story to tell. May she rest in peace
Sincerely Diane Dineen and my Dad Leonard Seifried
it was with sadness and gladness that we just read that dear Betty Ann has passed on from this life on to a seat in Heaven. We enjoyed her stories from her life in Hamilton, working at the Hospital and especially how she cared for a young boy with many health issues. Even if she wasn't assigned to the floor he was on, on her break or a quiet time in her area, she would peek in and make sure he was comfortable. He didn't have visitors and responded to her in the best way he knew how. I could go on and on repeating stories that you most likely have heard. Thanks Herb for taking the wonderful photos of her favourite cat. Kathy, our Lord will reward you for all the kindness you gave dear Betty Ann. At times, your patience must have grown thin, however you just kept caring for her and making sure where she lived, all was well. Thanks for your phone call a few weeks ago, advising that she was very sick, therefore we were not surprised to read the Obit. We will make a donation through England Funeral Home. "The Smile" is a great way to Help those that need one.
No matter the age, we do miss a loved one when they pass, however it was time for Betty Ann which will be of comfort to all of you.
Our Sincere Sympathy,
Bob and Mary I McIntee
