GIRTON, Jacqueline “Jackie” – Of Mount Forest, passed away at Strathcona Long Term Care on Monday, June 6, 2022 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Victor Girton (2020). Loving mother of Lynne and her husband Ron Cooney, and Larry Girton. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Cooney and his wife Jackie, George Girton, Elizabeth Ciaralli and the late James Girton. Dear great-grandmother of Sully and Spencer Cooney, and Valeria and Vivianna Ciaralli. Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 134 “Poppy Fund” would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.

I was saddened to read about your Mom's passing. Your Mom prepared many cups of tea and plates of cookies to share with your Dad and me, as well as any students I may have dragged along with me to their home. She was a sweet, welcoming woman and I mourned for you when she entered the same dementia journey my Dad was on. Larry, you took such good care of both of your parents! My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
