Ole Nygaard Jensen
March 16, 2022
JENSEN, Ole Nygaard – On Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Caressant Care Arthur surrounded by his loving family, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Inga Jensen (2013). Cherished father of Karen Carter and her husband Dave of Mount Forest, Peter Jensen of Mount Forest, and Carl Jensen and his wife Donna of Kitchener. Loving grandfather of Jason Carter and his wife Cait of Palmerston, Thea Carter and her husband Andrew Bain of Kitchener, and Matthew Carter and his wife Miranda of Cambridge; and great-grandfather of Brendan and Caiden Carter, Nora and Harrison Carter, and William Bain. Survived by his siblings Birgit, Arne and Gunner, all of Denmark; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ole was the eldest son of Oluf and Ella, born in Denmark. He came to Canada (Alberta) at the age of 19 to work on a 27,000-acre ranch for a few years. He then moved to Ontario to work for the great entrepreneur E.P. Taylor as a racehorse groomsman. Ole then settled with his wife and children in Proton Township as a pork producer for 28 years. He became a Director for the Grey County Pork Producers, served on the Farm Safety Committee, and was involved with “Grown in Grey”. Ole retired to Mount Forest where both he and Inga could often be seen walking or riding their bikes around town. They had the opportunity to travel across Canada and a few European countries. He loved to laugh and play games with his family and friends and will be sorrowfully missed. The last few years were spent in the fine company of his extended family at Caressant Care Arthur.
A private family gathering will take place at Sunset Mindepark, Puslinch. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ole are asked to consider their local hospital. Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
