Wilfrid Carlton Pringle, of Mount Forest, passed away at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest, on Wednesday, February 26th, 2020 in his 99th year. Beloved husband of Ardath Pringle (nee Curl). Loving father of Donna Pringle (Nancy) of Etobicoke, Pat Pringle (Linda) of Georgetown, Helen Gelyk (Bryan) of Meaford, Dale Pringle (Colleen) of Burlington, Jill Capes (David) of Etobicoke and June Schestak of Mississauga. Cherished grandfather of 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. Predeceased by his siblings Evelyn Johnson and Clifford Pringle and his late wife Viola. Friends may call at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest on Sunday, March 1st from 1 – 4 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Wilfrid’s life will be held at the England Funeral Home on Monday, March 2nd at 11 a.m. Spring interment at Mount Forest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Lung Transplant Program at the Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation (cheques payable to Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation) would be appreciated by the family.

Our Heartfelt Sympathy and Condolences to Aunt Ardath and the Pringle Family. We’re very saddened to hear that Uncle Wilf had passed away. He was truly an amazing man who was admired and loved very much. Uncle Wilf left a wonderful legacy for his children and he will be remembered fondly. We enjoyed reading his memoirs during the war and meeting the love of his life Aunt Ardath. We will miss him dearly but all the cherished memories will be with us forever. I have so many memories of Wilf, he was an amazing man. I enjoyed reading the books he wrote. I will always remember his sense of humor. We had many chats and lots of hugs. My thoughts are with Ardath and the rest of Wilf's family, we were all so very lucky for our time with this loving caring man.
