Lois MacEachern
June 9, 2021
MacEACHERN, Lois - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Lois MacEachern passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, surrounded by her family and friends. Lois was born on November 13, 1942, to the late Mildred and Bruce Ritchie and was a lifelong resident of the Mount Forest area. In 1960 she married Colin MacEachern (2003) and together they proudly raised five children: Dan (Dianne), Dean (Enza), Doug, Diane (Peter), and Donna (Bill) who will remember her with love and affection. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Scott (Jenn), Ryan (Meagan), Danielle (Jon), Julia (Ryan), Kale, Kyla, Jordan, Michael, Jenny, Jocelynn (Matt), and Katelynn. Also missing their great-grandma are Maverick, Emilia, and Hunter. She was a loving sister to her late brothers Wib (Iva), Ken (Norma), and Stanley. Lois was a special daughter in-law to the late Bud and Pearl MacEachern. Lois was blessed to have many lovely friends including her three sisters-in-law; Barb, Betty, and Norma, who were special ladies in her life. We would like to thank all her longtime friends and family members who came to visit, chat, play cards, and made her days a little brighter. Many happy hours were spent playing Rumoli with her girlfriends who enjoyed lots of laughs along with good natured competition. Lois enjoyed reading a good mystery, a scratch ticket or two and knitting. As a very skilled knitter, she gifted many lovely afghans, baby blankets, and special wool socks to family and friends over the years. More recently, Lois used her tech skills to video chat and text with her kids and grandkids, who are spread across the country. We would like to thank Dr. Lund, his staff, and her PSW, Crystal, for their excellent care. Due to COVID restrictions, interment and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation or Cancer Patient Services are greatly appreciated. England Funeral Home, Mount Forest entrusted with arrangements.
“Rest easy Mom.”
