Baker, June passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones at the Saugeen Valley Nursing Centre. June (Anderson) Funston– Baker of Mount Forest in her 85th year. Predeceased by her husbands; Everett Funston (1972) and Arthur Baker (2008). Loved mother of Douglas Funston & wife Marlene of Cobourg, Jeffrey Funston & wife Marilyn of Kitchener, Marilou Funston of Toronto and Cherylyn Funston of Toronto. Step mother of Jeff Baker & wife Marian of Mount Forest, Sandra Maas & husband John of Mount Forest, David Baker & wife Liana of Brussels and Mike Baker & wife Debbie of Shallotte, North Carolina. Loving grandmother of Christopher & wife Carrie, Mike, Dale, Brittany and Derek. Step grandmother of Candice, Jenna, Amanda, Ashley, Adam, Andrew, Ryan, Stephanie, Samuel and Steven. Loving great grandmother of Kyra, Wesley and Ashlyn. Step great grandmother of Kaydence, Olivia, Madison and Kyran. Dear sister of Kathy Thomas of Kitchener, Janet Duncan & husband Ken of Sauble Beach, Joanne Dowdall & husband John of Owen Sound and Dorothy Gleason & husband Tim of Sarnia. Sister-in-law of Nellie Anderson. June is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by parents Ken & Norma Anderson, brother Ken Anderson and brother-in-law Ed Thomas. June Baker was a dedicated registered nurse and the Director of Nursing at Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest for over 40 years before her retirement. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Tuesday July 14th from 10:00a.m. until time of the Celebration of Life at 11:00a.m. Memorial donations to the Louise Marshall Hospital Capital Campaign would be appreciated by the family.
