Gurgacz, Rose; at Louise Marshall Hospital on Friday October 22nd, 2010. Rose (Yasyszczuk) Gurgacz of Mount Forest in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Kazimir'John' Gurgacz. Loved mother of Walter Gurgacz of Madoc and Steve Gurgacz & wife Sherrel of Barrie. Loving grandmother of Tanya Gurgacz of Mississauga, Kristopher Gurgacz of Mississauga and Natalia Gurgacz of Brampton. Predeceased by her parents Proc and Sophia Yasyszczuk, brothers and sisters Walter, Anna, John, Peter, Jenny, Ross, Mary and Nick. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews and their families. Friends may call at the Hendrick Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00p.m. A prayer vigil will be held on Tuesday at 7:00p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Purification Church, Mount Forest on Wednesday October 27th at 1:00p.m. Reception to follow at St. Mary's Parish Family Centre. Interment in St. John 's Cemetery, Wabashene on Thursday October 28th at 1:00p.m. Memorial donations to Saugeen Valley Nursing Centre would be appreciated by the family. Steve & Walter, though I failed to respond in kind, your mother remained a generous friend since we met during a 1995 group pilgrimage to Europe. Just today I learned, from fellow Jesuit, Father Matthews, of her death. Since I'm to follow him, Monday, as priest-in-residence at Waubaushene, I'll stop to pray at the graves there of her & your Dad. God bless them AND you with the peace which only HE can give!

Walter, Steve and families; I am so saddened to hear of the loss of your Mom she was a great lady indeed and shared many stories with me. I got to know her well as she lived down the hall from me. She always had a smile and a hug for me! I wish I had known sooner of her passing - I would have gone to her funeral for sure.
