Long, Doris; at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Monday December 11, 2006. Doris Freda (Holmes) Long of Holstein in her 78th year. Beloved wife of Harold Long. Loved mother of Sheri Maxted & husband Bruce of Hanover. Loving grandmother of Heather Maxted of Port Hope and Scott Maxted of Hanover. Dear sister-in-law of Dorothy Aitken of Waterloo, Bev Long & wife Jean of Northern, Ontario, Mona Bell of Mount Forest, Laverne Long & Thelma Vanner of Palmerston, Bob Long & wife Marion of Listowel, Paul Long & wife Carol of Gowanstown, Carl Long of Palmerston, Miriam Long of Mount Forest and friend of Marion Remus of Palmerston. Doris is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Fred and Edith Holmes, sister Thelma Bramhill & husband Ivan, brothers-in-law Delbert Long, Jack Long, Wally Long, Dave Aitken and Art Bell. Friends may call at the Hendrick Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday December 15th at 1:00p.m. Interment at Holstein Cemetery. Memorial donations to Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest, Holstein Presbyterian Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
