Lore Noack (neė Heidemann)

NOACK, Lore (neė Heidemann)
Peacefully, on November 8th, 2020 in Mount Forest, Ontario. Beloved wife of Chris, cherished mother of Melissa (Colin Templeton) and Barbara (Jeffrey Catania). Dear sister of Margrit (Heinz) Jakobs of Dundalk. She will be missed by her niece Angela (Tim) White, nephew Marc (LeeAnn) Jakobs, as well as relatives and friends here and abroad.
Lore came to Canada from Germany in 1954 with her mother Lisa and sister Margrit, joining her father who had arrived and set up a butcher business on Queen Street in Toronto. She met Chris and married in 1964, settling in Dundalk on a dairy farm. Lore was an avid gardener, knitter, baker and supporter of Chris on the farm. She loved all her animals, especially her cats.
She had battled illness from a young age, and in 1990 received a lung transplant at Toronto General Hospital. Were it not for that, she would never have been given the 30+ years she lived with her donor lung, selflessly donated by the family of a 23 year old accident victim. In fact, seven transplant recipients were saved that day.
Lore was always very grateful for the gift that she had been given, and for the amazing team of doctors and nurses of the transplant program at Toronto General Hospital. Her family was blessed with the gift of many more years that they had her in their lives as a result of the transplant.
Lore didn’t want a funeral, and in keeping with her wishes, has been cremated. In lieu of flowers, a gift in her memory to the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation Lung Transplant Program would be greatly appreciated (https://support.tgwhf.ca/site/Donation2;jsessionid=00000000.app20004b?1486.donation=form1&df_id=1486&mfc_pref=T&_ga=2.140172215.503196066.1604720782-185617090.1604720782&NONCE_TOKEN=81B1629E5D44FB44DFE6F91A8E49AAC2). Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
