— Werner and Maxine Schmidt, October 5, 2010Dear David, I wish to express my condolence to you and your family with the loss of your mother. It is very difficult to lose a close family member but I presume it is of some comfort to know your mom is no longer in difficulty and has gone to a better place. We have not had a chance to speak together recently but I hope you return to OMAFRA soon so we can reconnect and share a coffee. Best Regards, Dave McEwen.
— Dave McEwen, October 5, 2010Dear David, I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved Mom. I pray to the Lord that may he rest her soul in eternal peace and tranquility. At the same time I wish you and your family immense strength and courage to sustain what must be a huge loss in your life. Take care, Ab

— Jim Christian, October 5, 2010Dear Susan and David and families: I want you to know I am thinking of you these days, and am very sorry for your loss. I got to know your mother through the theatre guild. She had a great eye for details, and her opinion was highly regarded. She was also a lot of fun. There were lots of laughs on the way to Harrison. I worked on many plays with your mother, as well as the two she was actually in. There was never a dull moment! In recent years, I didn't see your mother very often. Although, we would catch up in the grocery store, and visit a mutual acquaintance once in a while. It was always enjoyable. Your mother was a great lady, and will be missed. Sincerely, Flora
