Died peacefully at Strathcona Long Term Care on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at the age of 94. Daughter of the late Helen and John Leonard. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence McCrossan (1992). Loving mother of Carol Croft (Jim), June Gray, Diane Letson (Bob), Chuck McCrossan (Linda), Judy Smith (Bob), and her granddaughter Helen Holt (Dave) whom she raised. She is survived by 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren, and her brother Thomas Leonard. She is predeceased by her daughter Linda Hanna (2017), son Larry McCrossan (1969), son-in-law Dave Gray (2007), son-in-law Gord Hanna (2019), her infant brother John Leonard, her sister Ann Leonard (2004). The family would like to thank Dr. Chris Rowley and the staff at Strathcona Long Term Care for their excellent care. A private funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., with interment with her husband and son at Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph, to follow at 2:45 pm. For invited guests attending the service and interment, as per the directive of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, attendance numbers will be restricted, masks are mandatory and COVID-19 protocols are in place. Friends and extended family are welcome to view the service via live stream by visiting the England Funeral Home Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/England-Funeral-Home-1863283503935858). Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Helen are asked to consider Strathcona Long Term Care or Trinity United Church, Guelph. Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
