Condolences
Kim, Roland, Ben and Lisa My sympathies to you all. Kim, I can remember meeting your mom many years ago, and though it was only once or twice, I remember well how much she showed love for you all. Ben, We may have lost touch for some years, but it was great to connect with you. My thoughts are with you all.

— Rolly & Lila Horsman, November 19, 2009Bill: So sorry to hear about your step mom. Losing a family member is so hard on everyone. I keep expecting to bump into you somewhere in Calgary. Someday. Ruth
— Ruth Mather Halfod, November 18, 2009Yesterday, as I stood by my grandmothers grave site, I noticed written upon the small box it said Wynnafred McFarlin, December 23, 1936 - November 12, 2009. Marking the date in which she was born and the date in which she had died. But what stood out the most to me was the dash in the middle. That dash represented her life with us. Those who knew her know how important that dash is. It is in those years we have known her to be a daughter, a sister, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grand mother. And as difficult as this time is for a family, I'm reminded every time I see my own children smile there is a part of grandma shining through. And although grandma is no longer with us, the love she had for us has been passed down the line. I am privileged to have had her this long in my life and I will never forget her. Your Grandson Ben.
— Ben Lanka, November 18, 2009George, Kim and family. My deepest condolences to all of you at this sad time. Wynn will be remembered for her inner strength, the great love she had for her family, and her wonderful sense of humour. She will be missed by all of us. Sincerely, Lynn McLuhan

— Dan and Lori Reeves, November 16, 2009In honor of my Mother who was the strongest person I have ever had the privilege and honor to know and share my whole life with . I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. SHE IS AN OBJECT OF BEAUTY AND STRENGTH. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!" "Gone where?" Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. HER DIMINISHED SIZE IS IN ME, NOT HER. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: "THERE SHE IS GONE." But other eyes are watching and other voices are ready to take up the glad shout: 'HERE SHE COMES!" author...Henry Van Dyke
