William McIntyre

Condolences
We met Bill and Joan a few years ago while doing family research in the area. Our common relative John McIntyre emigrated to Mount Forest in the late 1700's and by chance we called Bill to chat and discovered we were related. What a great couple and Bill welcomed us into their home for a visit over the last few summers to share stories about our families. We will miss Bill and pass on our sympathies to the family.
— Bruce McIntyre, January 28, 2013Dear Joan and family, We were so sorry to hear that Bill had passed and we wished we lived close enough to be with you. We all have such great memories of our extended life in Mount Forest that included so many great auction sales and stories of the great finds and deals. Our mutual love of beautiful glass and furniture still lives in our hearts as we look at many of Mom's dishes in our own homes. Your beautiful home that Bill kept looking like a model house in a magazine was such a pleasure to see any time we were back home. Bill's great smile and chuckle always made us feel so welcome any time we were around. Dean Robertson will be patting him on the back for taking such good care of one of Mount Forest's famous century homes. Our love and prayers are with you and your family at this time of loss. He will be at a great auction sale in the sky with Annabelle asking how much he thinks that gorgeous hand painted vase will sell for? Thank you both for such a fun family friendship we have had over all these years. We hope to see you this summer and share some time together. Love, Barbara & Herb Woods, Heather & Terry Small
— Herb & Barbara Woods and Heather & Terry Small, December 4, 2012Dear Joan, Cindy and family We are so sorry for your loss. Bill will always be in my heart, with the look of his smile that he gave me when I saw him. Why do the good ones always have to leave us. When I bake my goodies, I will remember that he couldn't have them, but he would and then smile. I will miss him. xo

— Jeff and Miruna MacEachern, November 26, 2012Uncle Billy was on of my FAVOURITE people. I remember as a child staying at uncle Billy and aunt Joans what a fun week eating soft boiled eggs with toast dipped in and watching uncle Bill paint. The house had sooo many treasures and antiques and uncle Bill got out the bag pipes for me...I still love them to this day and will think of him every time i hear them. Uncle Bill always seemed to remember me and the details even as I got older and even if he didnt see me for years I loved that about uncle Bill, plus his seemingly absent fear of heights...a genetic trait i have not inherited;) Thankyou aunt Joan for allowing uncle Billy to put the smiles on thousands of childrens faces each year when he put santas rear end hanging out your front window...will miss Uncle Bill
