Marilyn McPhee

Condolences
John, Yvonne & Family - I wanted you to know that I will miss running into Marilyn. It didn't matter where - grocery store, sidewalk, etc. She always took the time to stop and talk even just for a few minutes. It was alway an extra bonus if by chance I ran into Marilyn when I was home visiting my parents. I will always remember her bright smile and laugh. Our thoughts and prays are with you.

— , January 1, 2010My husband and I would like to send our condolences to the McPhee and Hymers families. We have been King St. E. neighbours for approximately 14 years. Over the years when we have gone for walks around the block we would usually see Marilyn working in her yard or tending her gardens. It became a ritual that we would stop and have a chat, most often a long one and the conversation always included our beloved feline pets. She was such a friendly, warm and caring person. Even during her battle with cancer she never lost her sense of humour or her compassion for others. It was just a week ago today that I stopped on my walk and had a chat with her, and we were going to make a date to have coffee under her enormous shade tree on the front lawn. I regret that this never happened as it was a pleasure to be in her company. Please know that she will be missed by her King St. neighbours, young and old. Mike & Cherie Noble
